Once upon a time, there was a peacock in the jungle who was very beautiful, and his feathers were equally stunning. One day, there was heavy rainfall, and the peacock, overwhelmed with joy, began to dance.
While dancing, the peacock suddenly admired his own beauty, but at that moment, he became aware of his own voice, which was very harsh and discordant. Realizing this, he became very sad, and tears began to flow from his eyes.
Just then, he heard the sweet sound of a cuckoo singing. Upon hearing the cuckoo’s melodious voice, the peacock felt the lack of a sweet voice once again. He started wondering why God gave him beauty, but such an ugly voice. Just then, a goddess appeared from the background and asked the peacock, "Peacock, why are you so sad?"
The peacock complained to the goddess about his harsh voice and asked her, "The cuckoo’s voice is so sweet, but why not mine? That is why I am sad."
Listening to the peacock, the goddess explained, "Everyone’s fate is decided by God. Every creature is special in its own way. God has made them different for different purposes. He gave beauty to the peacock, strength to the tiger, grandeur to the elephant, and a sweet voice to the cuckoo!"
We should respect these unique gifts given by nature and always remain happy with what we have. After hearing the goddess, the peacock realized that one should never compare oneself to others, but rather appreciate their own skills and enhance them. That day, the peacock understood that everyone is unique in some way!_
Reflection:
Accepting oneself is the first step toward happiness. Instead of being sad about what we don’t have, let us embrace and appreciate what we do have, and feel grateful for it!
Pray that this plant always remains green
Even in sorrow, may the face always remain cheerful...
